EE 316 - Electronic Design Project - Metal Detector

As it can be understood from the name, metal detectors are used to distinguish metal or metallic items from others. They are used lots of place. People can use them everywhere like treasure hunting or searching precious mine (gold), security in airports, archaeological researches, prisons.
   Working principle of metal detector based on electromagnetic induction. There is a magnetic field around the search coil. If an object approaches the search coil and it changes the magnetic field, this variation means that the object is a conductive metal. Below block diagram depicts metal detector working principle.
